Art Stuff!

by Caytlin on April 23, 2012 at 10:50 am

Hey, I’ve got a little bit of pimpin’ to do for you guys. My art is involved in a couple of Kickstarters, so if you want a copy, you can click over!

First off we have the Hunting in Hell audiobook! If there’s just $18 more donated, she’ll be commissioning me for bookmarks! So if you’re interested, pop on over, and see what it’s all about. Only 55 hours left!

In addition, I’ve done this lovely book cover:

This is an awesome book and its IndieGoGo needs some love! Only 15 days left and it’s less than halfway to its goal. If you donate there, you can get pretty much one of my favorite stories, as well as a poster of the cover! Seriously, if you’re even passably interested in westerns, adventure novels, or light steampunk, click on over.

And that is it for my pimpin’ for now!

Oh yeah

by Caytlin on April 23, 2012 at 1:23 am

So it occurs to me suddenly that things I say on twitter are not necessarily broadcast to all you fine folks. I made the executive decision today to put aside the last two sketch comics in favor of working on a buffer! I believe this is a better use of my time at the moment. I’m hoping to really ramp it up here. Got 1.5 pages done already! Zoom!

Anyway, I beg your forgiveness and/or place my sunglasses on my face and say, DEAL WITH IT B|

Much love, Cayt~

Ps! Reminder that I am at Stumptown this weekend at D-14! Only $12 for a weekend pass! Are you in Portland? Come say hi!

Ask WoBG: Round 1

by Caytlin on April 19, 2012 at 2:47 pm

Alright! Here’s the first round of questions from our asks this week! I’ll put up the rest on Sunday alongside the regular update.

Q: What movie did Nick and Kennedy end up watching?

Q: What are Nick and Kennedy’s favorite movie or genre and why?

Q: We saw what Nick’s reaction to the kiss was. What was Kennedy’s reaction?

And now I go back to working! WEE!

Delays and News

by Caytlin on April 11, 2012 at 9:34 am

So, as much as it pains me to say it, I definitely do have to delay tomorrow’s comic. This commission is kicking my ass, and though usually I have my schedule all set up for this kind of thing, the deadline got moved and my schedule’s all wonky now. So, alas and alack, tomorrow’s comic will be delayed until it gets done. Most likely that will be before Sunday, but there’s a chance if this commission continues to give me hell that it will be done on Monday or so. Hopefully not!

Anyway, after that, I’m going to do two more bonus updates, but they’re going to be sketch updates. Because of all the project deadlines this month (and there are a lot of them!) as well as con prep, I’m only halfway done through even thumbnailing issue 5. Meep! I need some more time to at least finish that. On the upside, the cover is about half-way done, and if need be, I can power ahead and pencil/finish the first few pages to buy myself some time. This will be the ONLY delay, if I can help it, dagnabbit >:(

So that means, for the next two bonus updates, I need questions. Ask anything, about the characters, the world, the story so far. There are obviously questions we won’t answer, but I need some sketch comic fodder. If you don’t ask questions, there will be no sketch comic update, and next week will be comic-free. Feel free to drop questions in the comments here, or ping me over Twitter at @cvilbrandt, or however you want to contact us. You can also drop a question anonymously into the Ask WoBG Tumblr ask box.

Are you going to Stumptown Comics Fest?
So am I! I’m going to be tabling with Peggy von Burkleo of Samhain Night at table D-14! I will have issues 1-3, posters, pins (14 designs to choose from!), prints, and table commissions. If you’re going, stop by the table and say hi!

by Caytlin on March 29, 2012 at 11:39 am

Today, one of our biggest fans turns five years old. Small Boss Tarwater, who has submitted some lovely fan art for us, and so in thanks, I’m drawing her some fanart back!

Update: Small Boss printed it out and colored it, and I have graciously been given permission to post this:
